Mental Health Resources

Employee wellness and mental health is vitally important to us. Our employee benefits include a variety of resources and our communities offer excellent resources for helping you to weather tough times.

 

RESOURCES FOR EMPLOYEES

Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Employees and their family have access to free, confidential, professional, short-term solution-focused consultations, resources, and information. This EAP is operated by Triad and can address diverse wellness and mental health needs such as depression, work-life balance, grief, trauma, workplace relations, anxiety, addiction, parenting, and more. Employees, spouses, significant others and dependent family members up to 26 years old can access this benefit which includes:

    • Up to five counseling sessions per year
    • Financial experts for advice on a range of financial issues
    • Legal help by phone or with an attorney, including a free half hour consult and discounted further rates
    • Assistance with diverse programs including telephone counseling, separation & divorce counseling, and more.

Meru Health (available to all full-time regular employees at no cost when they establish eligibility for the health plan). Meru Health is an online healthcare provider that has a 12-week program that is clinically proven to reduce anxiety, stress, depression, and burnout with long-lasting results. Participants have seen up to 60% reduction in anxiety and depression symptoms, improved in sleep, stress management, and overall well-being. The program is 100% confidential and accessible from your smartphone — anytime, anywhere. This resource includes daily chat support from a dedicated licensed therapist, anonymous peer support, psychiatric support, HVR biofeedback, and more.

Total Rewards Wellness Program (formerly MBS) .These resources are available to all employees to help you live a healthier and happier life. This program provides employees with personal fitness programming, group fitness lessons, health coaching, nutritional consultation, weekly wellness tips and recipes, functional movement screenings.

Mental Health First Aid Training. Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis. We  have made a commitment to have all of our supervisors trained to recognize employees who may be struggling. Mental Health First Aid Trainings are held throughout the season. Headquarters (formerly AspenStrong) Wellness Screening. Everyone experiences stress, sadness and anxiety from time to time—it’s part of life. But if you are feeling overwhelmed, depressed, or unable to do the things you once enjoyed, it may be time to assess your emotional health. The Roaring Fork Valley has a number of excellent programs and organizations dedicated to mental health:

Pitkin County Mental Health Resource Guide. A short easy guide to resources from crisis to family therapy to LGBTQ+, medication help and more. Guide in English. Guide in Spanish.

Headquarters (formerly AspenStrong) is a mental health advocacy non-profit that is breaking stigmas through prevention resources, education, policy change, and community connection. This organization connects the Roaring Fork Valley to mental health resources with a therapist directory, crisis hotlines (Call 970-718-2842 for immediate crisis assistance). Learn more.

The Aspen Hope Center. The Aspen Hope Center provides an array of mental health services such as crisis intervention, suicide prevention, mobile crisis response, therapy, a confidential 24/7 HopeLine (Aspen: (970) 925-5858 or Garfield (970) 945-3728), school-based programs, and referrals to appropriate providers. The Hope Center strives to decrease the stigma surrounding mental health and helping reduce the stress of navigating the system of mental health. Learn More
